… Promises Timely Completion
The newly sworn-in Special Adviser on Works to the Governor, Dr. (Engr.) Adekunle Olayinka has embarked on an assessment tour of government projects across the State, with a promise to ensure the timely completion of the projects.
The Special Adviser made the promise during his visit to the ongoing reconstruction of Ile-Pako, a strategic office infrastructure project by the main entrance into the State Government Secretariat in Alausa Ikeja, which was previously occupied by staff of the Ministry of Works & Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Education.
Olayinka stated that the visitation underscored the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Administration to ensure prompt completion of the ongoing projects conceived by the State Government across the Lagos metropolis.
According to him, the project which was conceived to scale down the incidental costs of premises rentals and provide office accommodation for workers within the Secretariat is currently at 20% completion.
The Special Adviser, therefore, urged the Contractor to accelerate delivery of the Project to avoid cost overrun and to enable an early completion of the project.
